PEARCE Brolly has been a butcher for 20 years and always wanted to open his own butcher shop.
When he first opened four years ago Pearce had two employees but has since increased his staff to six full-time members. Brolly’s Butchers is a family-run business based at Main Street Cloughmills.
“We are a traditional butchers shop and also provide a wide range of homecooked food. We have just celebrated our 4th birthday in Cloughmills. We have a great reputation for our well matured steaks.”
“Our customers travel out of their way to buy our steaks. We have a great reputation for our homemade pies – which we now supply locally to other shops. We pride ourselves in providing the best customer service and strive to create a pleasant shopping experience for our customers.”
However, traditional they may be, Brolly’s is more than just a butcher’s Pearce explains: “We provide meat, fish, home-cooked food and fresh fruit and vegetables. Quality is of the upmost importance to us and this is reflected in all our products.
“We provide a vast range of homecooked dishes, from family favourites to meals for one. These are prepared and cooked by our chef and her team on our own premises.”

Our team worked extremely hard to meet the needs of the public. They worked extra hours and helped out in anyway they could.”
And the appetite for Brolly’s high-quality foods is growing, so much so that they provide an outside catering service for special events.
They also recently launched an App so customers can shop online and arrange for click and collect or delivery.
“We are embarking on a renovation to update our shop. Not only will this improve the aesthetics of the shop but will greatly improve the functioning of the shop,” Pearce said.
“We are extremely excited about the next chapter for Brolly’s Butchers.”
